Response 11: Argument
Ain't I A Women? Yes I am a women. I work as hard as men, eat like men, but don't get treated like men. I should be treated with respect and be cared for just like men. Yes I think Sojourner Truth is a women. Throughout her poem she finds many ways to describes reasons how women can do just what men can do too, if not women can do it even better. For example she says that she can do things all men can't like giving birth to her children. Another example is how she says that she can work as hard as men which means that anything a man can do she can do it too or even better. She also uses parallelism and analogy. By seeing this in her poem means that she truly is a women and that she can accomplish anything a man can do no matter what the job is. Just because shes a women does not mean shes weaker or less intelligent then men.

In Romeo and Juliet there is always a problem with the Montagues and Capulets, they are always fighting. The Montagues are the chill and nice family. The Capulets are mean and hot tempered, the ones that start most fights. The Prince said whoever fights next is sentenced to a death penalty. I do not support the decision of there being a death sentenced penalty because it doesn't work people still fight knowing the concequences.
Some examples in the play is when the Capulets come up to the Montegues and start an argument, which eventually led to a fight and caused the prince to set a death penalty. In another scene later on in the movie Romeo and Juleit get secretly married. While the wedding is going on Tibalt the best sward fighter of all challenged Romeo to fight him because he went to a Capulets party knowing that he's not allowed because he's a Montegue. Romeo had no idea he wanted to fight him. While they're getting married Mercutio the joker of the Montagues is joking around with Tibalt and he takes it too far until the point when Tibalt gets affended so they end up fighting eachother. Tibalt kills Mercutio. Romeo comes out and finds him dead and doesn't control his anger so he fights Tibalt and kills him! From this example it does not really show that any of them care if there is a death penalty they will always fight no matter what.
An example why death penalties do not help in "real life" because it's a cruel world. People kill others everyday knowing there is some type of consequence, but don't care. For example let's say someone murdered another person they know that there's a consequence which is going to jail. In jail you can possiably get life in there. Which means that up rot and die maybe even a death penalty. People know that these are the consequences to doing any violent actions, but they still do it.
How can we punish the ones that don't care? This is why I don't beleive that a death penalty isn't the best way to handle situations like this because some people don't care and do not think of it as a threat.

Donald trump may or may not become president, but if he does some celebrities like Samuel L. Jackson, Eddie Griffin, Jon Stewart, have said they will flee the county and even leave this planet. I think these celebrities are wrong for fleeing the country if Donald trump becomes president. I am not a fan or on his side either I do not want him to become president, but I don't think you have to flee the country yet.
If he becomes president and you flee the country what are the benefits for you? It doesn't solve anything. These celebrities have a point about not wanting Donald Trump to become president but instead of leaving the country you can stay in the United States and fight.
Many people actually want Donald Trump to become president, maybe because of racial reasons. Also they may even want him to be president because he's rich and he can do "many" things for the United States.
But something the celeberties can start doing if they don't want him to be president is before it's too late start a boycott or a protest. Something they can protest about is maybe how if Donald Trump becomes president he'll send immigrants back where they came from. Plenty of people would have an issue with that because maybe someone in their family is an immigrant. This is something they can protest about if they don't want Donald Trump as president.
By telling this information I think that before Donald Trump becomes president this is what they should do instead of fleeing the country. They can make things better.

Response 12: Argument
Lincoln High School has a bad reputation since it has opened in 1949. Lincoln is not a bad school, we make mistakes we also fix our mistakes like every other school. The only reason Lincoln high has a bad reputation is because media only recognizes the bad in us and whenever we have something good to show media it gets cut out. Recently we had a incident that went too far. Involving an officer and a student which ended up with the media. What can we do to let our community know that we aren't a bad school? How can we fix our reputation?
Using #thisislincoln, #wearelincoln, and #lincolnhigh we can post positive posts about good things Lincoln high school has done or is doing. These hashtags belong or are used by the media. So whenever the media wants to look bus up for negative facts nothing shows up but positive posts and not our past. By all Lincoln highs students working together and standing together as a Lincoln "family or community," we can all make this schools bad reputation balance with the good in us or make the good more than the bad.
Something else Lincoln can do to have a better reputation is volenteer in pups community and give to others. For example we can feed the homeless or give them items they may need. We can do toys for tots and maybe even help the elderly people in there retitrement home. Just taking baby steps can slowly but surely give us a better reputation.

Response #8: Mood vs. Tone
After reading and watching the short film on "The Black Cat" by Edgar Allan Poe I know that Poe thinks that in every human there's caring, enpathy, and kindness. But under all of that there's also hate, evilness, a madness inside of us and that's what Poe focuses on. The tone of "The Black Cat" is depressing but also confusing towards the end of the story. It appears to be like this because of how Poe had the main character lose his temper over the simplest things.

Response #7: Revenge Analysis
My thoughts about what revenge means is a plan or idea to get someone back for doing another person wrong. Revenge can be something evil or revenge it can be something done by success. Some examples of revenge is maybe your husband or love mate cheated on you, of course you would want to do something bad to them to make them feel as bad as you did in that situation. It can be something major like hurting them or it can be something as little as just karma or success.
Something common about revenge is usually about relationships. Once you've been cheated on, left or heart broken by that person its game on. This couple was together for 10 years and all of a sudden things started falling apart. The guy started going out with his "friends" a lot more often about the end of the ninth year. Then this guy started to go on "job trips." Once he got back the girlfriend unpacked his suitcase, and she found makeup all over his shirt. As soon as she saw that he was out the picture. He also had kids that he was supposed to come take care of, which he did for a while, then he just stopped. After that the girlfriend or shall I say ex-girlfriend just minded her own business with her kids and let karma handle all the work for her.
So now that I have told you about an example of a relationship that was a disaster you should kind of have an idea of what revenge is. Like I said there are many types of ways to have revenge on people. It could either be violent, karma wise, or something basic. It all depends on the type of mind set you have or how bad the other person did you wrong.

Response 6: Irony Analysis to Psycho
In the movie Psycho there is three different types of Irony that Alfred Hitchcock uses. Throughout the film Alfred uses Verbal, Situational, and Dramatic Irony purposely to get the audience uncomfortable and shocked. In a specific scene Alfred Hitchcock used Situational Irony. Its the scene where Sam distracts Norman while Lila goes to look inside Normans house for his mother. Norman starts to get anxious and suspicious so he walks to the parlor and looks outside the window and sees someone in his house. Norman hits Sam in the shoulder with a big can and then runs to his house. Lila sees him coming and hides in the downstairs cellar but under that cellar there's another cellar but for fruit. Norman goes up stairs and Lila thinks about leaving but sees a door and goes down to the fruit cellar where "Mother" is. Lila sees her and then taps her but its nothing but a preserved dead body. Next thing you know Norman comes and tries to stab Lila but Sam comes to the rescue and takes the knife away from him. But this whole time Norman wasn't Norman. There was two personalities in him his dead mom and Norman, but at that time Mother had completely took him over which is ironic.
Situational Irony has an effect on the audience. Situational irony is when something happens and you expected something completely different to happen. This type of irony has you talking to the movie screen. Like this audience did while watching this scene in the movie Psycho. This Situational scene had the audience anxious and terrified about whats going to happen next. This scene had me the audience jumping and sitting half way out of their chair with their eyes covered. After that scene the audience was just jaw dropped. No one new that Norman had a split personality and that there was no more Norman there was only Mother left.
